Plaid Deer
This woodburning was created for the Instagram challenge #burntoctober, for the prompt called #pattern!
I found this deer shape, and tried a plaid for the first time! I'm really pleased with how it turned out, and someone even suggested that the coloring resembled a Scottish tartan. It look almost just like a soft flannel!
I burned this, then colored it with watercolor pencils, blended it some, and then coated it with a clear lacquer. It came with a sawtooth metal hanger on the back, so it's ready to go!
