About The Artist

Flynn Topper is a self-taught woodburning artist, starting her art journey in 2011, sitting cross legged on the floor of her family’s basement in the country in central Alabama. After a bit of a hop, skip, and jump around, she currently resides in Lubbock, Texas - a place she (dis)affectionately refers to as real life Tatooine.

Flynn loves all things nautical and piratical, and dreams of living in a house by the sea someday, being a crotchety old sea captain. Until then, she is landlocked, which is some of the inspiration she used for the name “The Anchored Albatross”.

On February 1st, 2022, Flynn began streaming her woodburning art process on Twitch, hit Affiliate on February 24th, and as of January 2025, has over 1,500 followers!

Flynn has many interests, saying she is a “jack of all trades, master of a few”, and a short list of her many interests includes music, coffee, swimming, embroidery, mushrooms, cats, painting, movies, and gaming, as well as learning about her ADHD and Autism. She loves all things blue and black colored, as well as black and white stripes (it’s become a thing inseparable from her identity). Even her pixie cut hair has a bright blue stripe along the top side of her head! (We know the blue obsession is a problem)

On February 6th, 2021, she married her husband - known as ‘Arklelinuke’ - in a viking themed wedding. Their tagline was ‘ThePirateandTheViking’, and they still continue that theme in their day to day life. Ark has helped her tremendously on the tech side of her business, and they are now quite the pair as Captain and First Mate. They currently live in a two-bedroom apartment with their three cats;  Masha, Pika, and Freddie.
